The Preliminary Training Course of volleyball coaches organized by the Leaders Development Institute was launched today. This course will include an introduction to the game’s history and its main technical skills in addition to the coach’s role in the team’s development and to the training principles. The third meeting of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers was concluded in Turkey on Friday as the final session included the presentation of the preparatory committees’ reports and the general secretariat’s reports in addition to the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation’s report regarding the preparations of the Fourth Islamic Solidarity Games that will be held in Baku in 2017.

His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah Bin Musaed Bin Abdul Aziz, the President of the General Sport Authority received in his office on Tuesday the President of the Arab and Kuwaiti Shooting federations and Vice President of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee Engineer Duaij Al Otaibi. The two gatherers discussed the aspects of the existing partnership between the Saudi and Kuwaiti Olympic committees and its development means in a way that serves athletes and youth of the two countries. They also discussed the development means of shooting and its expansion as a noble sport.

His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah Bin Musaed Bin Abdul Aziz, the President of the General Sport Authority will head the Kingdom’s delegation that will attend the meetings of the 3rd Session of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers (ICYSM) organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul- Turkey from 5 to 7 October 2016. The conference will include the discussion of a number of subjects, notably the joint strategy of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation in the field of youth affairs prepared by the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation in partnership with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – ISESCO in addition to the development strategy of sports in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation prepared by Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation. Attendees will also be acquainted with the preparations of Azerbaijan country for receiving the Fourth Islamic Solidarity Games that will be held in Baku from 12 to 22 May 2017.

The General Manager of the Leaders Development Institute Mister Sultan Bin Mohamed Bin Suwailem inaugurated yesterday the training course of coaches organized by the institute in collaboration with the Canadian Program from 25-29/9/2016. The course given by Doctor Hussein Jaafar and Doctor Mahmoud Yateem focuses on the basics of planning, training, ethical decision making, potential, physical preparation, teaching and learning. Mister Sultan pointed out that the course aims at preparing and training national coaches in the sports field for all games and to equip them with the latest information. It also aims at increasing the number of qualified coaches for leading the sports national teams in order to enable them to prepare the athletes from all aspects

The General Sport Authority will participate in the thirteenth international forum of the Arab youth that will be held in Amman from 2/10/2016 to 8/10/2016 with the participation of youth delegations from 15 Arab countries. The Representative of the General Sport Authority for youth affairs Mister Abdul Ilah Bin Saed Al Dakkak revealed that His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah Bin Musaed Bin Abdul Aziz is keen on participating in this Arab youth event organized by the Higher Council for Jordanian Youth in partnership with the Arab League and which gives the Arab youth the opportunity to exchange their experiences and to be trained in several matters such as facing all obstacles and enhancing their role in fighting extremism and violence.

Changing the Designation of Al Rabih Club

The President of the Sports Arbitration Center Mister Mohamed Al Dabaan revealed that the operations of the Sports Arbitration Center will be launched on the fourteenth of November 2015 pointing out that the rules and regulations of the action plan have been completed by experts and specialists who have been working since the approbation of the constituent assembly by His Royal Highness the President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee Prince Abdullah Bin Musaed Bin Abdul Aziz. He also added that the total number of arbitrators is estimated at 19 arbitrators including 8 Saudi arbitrators and 11 international arbitrators that have been chosen from the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The president revealed the above during a press conference held in the conference room of the Global Authority of Sports in Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh with the presence of the Representative of the General Sport Authority for Sports Affairs Mister Abdullatif Al Hareesh and the center’s advisor and member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport Doctor Abdullah Al Hayyan. At the beginning of the conference, Al Dabaan talked about the list of the Saudi Arbitrators, pointing out that their names will be revealed later after signing the rules of professional conduct for arbitrators. He also added that a unified email address has been defined for all the incoming and outgoing email messages from and to the center in addition to the website that will be ready in the coming period in order to transfer all the information and news of the center in a way that facilitates the access to the information. The president of the Sports Arbitration Center pointed out that the website will include the name of the arbitrators and their detailed CVs and revealed that the foreign arbitrators will surely be pursuant to defined conditions such as a long experience and having previously handled international cases. Mister Mohamed also talked about the approbation of the arbitration chambers’ presidents and said that the lawyer Waleed Al Hamza has been appointed as the president of the Football Dispute Arbitration Chamber, the lawyer Ali Bin Ali has been appointed as the president of the Appeal Arbitration and Mediation Chamber and the lawyer Mohamed Al Sahli was appointed as the president of the Normal Arbitration Chamber. The center’s President also revealed that two training courses for the training of sports disputes arbitrators have been held in Riyadh and two other courses will be held in Jeddah and Dammam as for the first one to be held from 5 to 9 November 2016 in Jeddah and the second one to be held in Dammam from 10 to 14 December 2016 pointing out that these training courses are considered as an opportunity for increasing the number of arbitrators. Al Dabaan also revealed that the disputes registration fees and procedures have been defined and all their details will be revealed in the coming period

The Central Youth Competition of the General Sports Authority’s President for the Holy Quran and Al Hadeeth Al Shareef for the year 2016 was concluded on Wednesday with the attendance of the Representative of the General Sports Authority’s President for youth affairs Abdul Ilah Al Dakkak. Fifty five youth from all the offices of the Authority in Saudi Arabia participated in the competition held in the beginning of the week in Al Masjed Al Nabawi Al Shareef in Mekkah Al Mukarramah.

The champion Hany Al Nakhli who won the bronze medal in shot put competitions of the Paralympic Games held in Brazil arrived to Riyadh and was accompanied by the commission of the Saudi National Team for Paralympic Games. Al Nakhli was received by the Representative of the President of the Global Authority of Sports for Youth Affairs Abdul Ilah Al Dakkak, the General Secretary of the Saudi Arabian Paralympic Committee Mohamed Al Khouraiji and a number of board members and committee’s employees
